Just plain old "piimä" is definitely used in baking. For example, piimäkakku (piimä cake): www.martat.fi/reseptit/pii...

Piimäkakku säilyy hyvin ja maustuu säilytyksen aikana. Kakun voi myös pakastaa.

It's difficult when something local has gotten an established translation and it's not really the same thing in the other language.

Otoh once I wanted to try making poutine and I had no idea what the fuck "cheese curds" are and if I could substitute them. (they sound a bit like "leipäjuusto" tbh)

Noh, on tää sentään vaihtelua verrattuna siihen että välittömästi kun avaa ulko-oven, kengät on läpimärät ja yltä päältä mudassa

one thing i noticed with craiyon vs stable diffusion was that each of the models clearly "knew" what mickey mouse was, but only craiyon knew what bugs bunny was. craiyon's output was a blurry mess, but it clearly "tried" to render bugs bunny. stable diffusion just made a generic cartoon bunny

I meant that there are a lot of games that are objectively badly coded, but they have been released and are playable and are loved by many players.

Meanwhile there are countless beautifully engineered 1/10-of-a-game-engines that are never going to become finished games

My opinion on the movie is "it's a nerd movie for a different kind of nerd than me." Like, it was ok. I think it managed its message about as well as a corporate "remember this thing" nerd movie could. And I get why it hit some people so hard.
