Hmm. I know that Philly has a couple more casual adult marching bands, but I'm not sure about Pittsburgh. But worth looking into if you really find yourself missing it!

Refresh my memory, are you in Philly or Pittsburgh?

HEB is #1 on the (admittedly short) list of things I miss about Texas.

Nice tu quoque, bro.

Hey asshole, there are 1.5m people who live in Palm Beach County, and Harris won this county in 2024 (which should not matter for this math, but I bet it does for you).

summary: ended with Washington leading militia troops into PA to put down a violent tax protest over a new excise tax on spirits. it's seen as historically important b/c it was the new federal govt flexing its power to enforce its laws over localized opposition. but might be seen differently in PA

It looks to me like the whiskey rebellion flag, although kind of a weird choice to bring a tax protest flag to today's protests. The whiskey rebellion was in Pennsylvania, though, so maybe not *that* weird?

Because of traffic, I'm about an hour south of mar-a-lago, but there is still a whole lot of this down here in boca. It is unsettling.

Because I'm a creep, I found him on social media, and while there wasn't anything explicitly political, there were a few public posts, and the vibes were surprisingly good. Good reminder to me not to just assume.

Also, the dog liked him. So there's that.[2/2]

If you don't mind taking the time, could you give me the rough specs on your Plex server? I've been considering it.

I like it, but zero chance in hell they would win in the general.

I always score further south on the chart relative to where I think my views on policy lie, but not to where my "ideal world" scenario would be. I feel like we've established, as a species, that we require some collective guide rails or we'll end up fully under the thumb of the worst of us.

I'm more than a little freaking out about the food supply impacts of H5N1. Getting enough protein is already a struggle for me b/w IBS issues and not eating red meat. If you knock out chicken and eggs, I'm boned.

Two pro deep cleanings were enough so that your skin doesn't crawl being in the house, but it has been several months of "why is this sticky?" followed by frantic scrubbing.

Anyway, this stuff is incredible. 10/10. It has degrossed areas of our cabinets that even Dawn & GooGone couldn't fix. (2/2)
