Am I understood?!" Kain shrugs it off. "Whatever, I'll agree... Begrudgingly. I still don't like the little freak." Dr.Chryzalid shouts, "Zis is nonsensical!! Zat doesn't excuse ze fakt zat your gamble... Nearly killed me! I told you, I expect compensation--" He is cut off by Adam grabbing his lanyard. Panel by panel: Adam, using the lanyard, pulls Dr.Chryzalid in closer. "That's enough, Doctor. You are in no position to make demands. While my lawyers can play it off... You think the board wants to hear how deep your hands are in this unsanctioned research?" Dr.Chryzalid timidly responds, "...N-No!" Adam tosses the lanyard away while Chryzalid coughs, Adam retorts "I thought so. Are we clear?" Chryzalid agrees, "Ve're clear... Zir..." Adam shoos them away. "Good. Now get out. You're dismissed."

Adam stands at his chair, and sighs. "Gentlemen... please..." He begins to walk over to the concerned men, "I hear your concerns... annoyingly so... It's only natural to fear him." Kain defends himself stating "I never said I was afraid--" Adam cuts him off. "You've labeled him a monster... a freak... an abomination..." He places his hand on Kain's shoulder. "...And you're right. He IS all of those things. And that... is exactly why he is crucial to us."
