Kidnapping.

Capturing a person against their will without due process is called kidnapping.

Transporting them to another country without due process is called human trafficking.

A squalid extrajudicial prison for people found guilty of no crime is called a concentration camp.
stop calling things deportation just because they call it deportation.

-You cannot legally deport people without due process.

-You cannot legally deport citizens.

-They are defining down deportation to break the law.
Leavitt confirmed that the WH is working on deporting US citizens to El Salvador

Meta illegally scraped almost every piece of fiction I’ve had published over the past 20+ years. That’s half my life. That’s what those portions of my life and my work amount to. Grist for a trillion-dollar grift machine. And most people will just never give a damn.
The thing about so-called generative artificial intelligence is, the intelligence isn't artificial. It's real. It's OURS. The techbros stole our intelligence (our data, our thoughts, our stories, our art) and used the software to regurgitate it and spackle it together into digital particleboard.

ICE stripped a German green card holder naked, drove him from Boston to Vermont to Rhode Island, put him in a cold shower, deprived him of medication, sleep and food until he collapsed.

No one knows why he was detained.

Fabian Schmidt’s family said they are unsure of why he is being held. They said he has a recently renewed green card, and no active issues in court.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Tell your Dem senators you are withholding any donations until there's a leadership change. I specified that I'm moving my donations to organizations that WILL mobilize a strong opposition, like Run For Something and Sister District.
So here's the deal: Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028, Gillibrand in 2030, two of the cowards aren't even running again!

For now, the push has to be that Schumer has lost the party and betrayed the country, and must step down as leader. Pelosi spoke out against him. Jeffries

Durbin (IL)
Fetterman (PA)
Gillibrand (NY)
Hassan (NH)

Schatz (HI)
Schumer (NY)
Shaheen (NH)

They've effectively just voted for Donald Trump's agenda without putting up a fight. Never let them hear the end of it.

The Trump regime will arrest you in the middle of the night because you spoke your mind.

And federal agents in plain clothes who refuse to identify themselves will be the ones to do it.

If you think I'm being hyperbolic, watch this clip.

Of the three presidential campaigns against Trump, two (2016 and 2024) made elaborate appeals to centrists at the expense of their relationship with progressives, and only one (2020) prioritized efforts to bridge the gap with progressives, however impermanently. The latter approach won.

If the GOP needed Democratic votes they needed to negotiate with Democrats.

To vote for their partisan bill is to say they can take the federal government hostage whenever they'd like.

Takes a special kind of spinelessness to give up like that.

As the unofficial Dem strategy explainer on here I can't really tell you why Jeffries had such a wimpy response to the Eric Adams quid pro quo. At some point this just becomes a timid resistance to doing anything.
