When I wrote my own little game engine, the first thing I needed was tools to make the content. They were jank at best. Probably only made sense to me. So I get it when the doom editors of 1994 kind of sucked

7 was the last good windows. I need to take the time to put 7 back on some 10 machines and get the One Core API stuff set up.

Also picked up about 60 episodes of Babylon 5 on VHS, an Intellivision, a game, ISA I/O card and an ISA Video card

30+ years into this windows thing and I think I'm ready to make the switch. Zero desire to run a Microsoft marketing platform as an OS

We have an 80's burger king with the atrium in our town. I recently stopped at a modern BK and I felt like everything about that trash box summed up where we have gone as a country. If they modernized our local BK I'd never eat there again. So I sympathize with the Cracker Barrel fans.

I got redundancied back in April. It's been a good break after 25 years. Enjoyed the summer off with the family. Just starting to look for work again. Make the most of it if you can.

No, if you are looking for PCI you'd want a Sound Blaster Audigy or Live. They made a bunch of great PCI cards before onboard sound chips became the norm.

Sound Blaster 16 is pretty appropriate for a 486 build. Pentiums had been out for a year before the AWE32 came along.

It was a big mess, but it runs again after sitting in the garage for 3 or 4 years. I got the mess cleaned up and drove it around the neighborhood. Rainy day, so can't do much more. It leaks and the wipers are terrible
