He used to become one with the laptop. The ghost in the machine.

I *just* listened to this excellent episode of @allusionistshow.bsky.social about Dr. Alex Ketchum’s Feminist Restaurant Project and went to check out Bloodroot…only to learn they announced *today* that they’re closing after nearly 50 years!

Fascinating story in today’s Strib about what it’s like to be an archivist for a corporation.

Love the wry caption here: “Most Target employees who visit the archive are excited to see the wall of plush Bullseye dogs.”

MOST employees. The LOYAL, GRATEFUL ones, anyway. Gift link in the alt text.

Debbie, Bonnie, and Marilynn were in their early twenties. All three live still live in the Two Harbors area today.

“But @omarfatehmn.com didn’t lose like an ordinary challenger.

He lost like a candidate building a new political majority, one driven by renters, immigrants, young voters, and communities long shut out of the center of power” -Mukhtar M. Ibrahim, founder and former CEO of @sahanjournal.bsky.social

Until yesterday I didn’t even realize there were so many designs circulating out there. The librarian complimented mine — it *is* pleasing:

Post you from a different era

Unfortunately I do not have a photo but it would have been something like this, back when my ancestors crawled from the sea about 375 million years ago

What I love most about Jason Chavez’ campaign is how they worked—and succeeded!—at increasing turnout.

“Fork some over”? IDK, do billionaires want to live in a society?

This article (link in alt text) is directly followed in print by a story about Elon Musk’s struggle to survive: “Mr. Musk’s supporters say he may quit if shareholders don’t approve a trillion-dollar package.”
