I modified our "browsable #nonfiction" activity because it just wasn't working. It was too easy to check a box and move on (thinking of you @illinimccoy.bsky.social). I turned the yes/no questions into a space to write a page #. This worked much better.

4 years later, our #SibertSmackdown is going strong! It is important to me to incorporate different kinds of nonfiction. I brought back @annettewhipple.bsky.social's books this year because of their quality and crowd appeal. buff.ly/arCwn3h

Oh, what a night! I had the pleasure of subbing for a ballet class at the dance school where I taught for 9 years. The collection of books that I integrated into the ballet curriculum are still on the shelf. Returning to this joyful community was the highlight of my day on so many levels!

My librarian team aligned our program components with our district's Portrait of a Learner. While the only attendee was the mouse who ran through the space (I kid you not), this was worthwhile, to demonstrate just how relevant our library is. Now, we work on how to better communicate this.
