The Supreme Court, Presidency, Senate and two party system are all quite anti-democratic institutions as presently constructed.

Our institutions are not only incapable of preventing tyranny—they’re currently enabling it.

When democracy returns, we need to reform our political system.

Xi has not heard that previously because it is likely one of Trump's lies.
🇺🇸🇨🇳 Donald Trump: I told Xi this: Our soybeans are more nutritious than our competitors'. Someone said, "Is that Trump's statement or is that reality?" Actually, you know who asked me that question? Xi. He said, "Really? I've never heard of that."

Trump and the United States are a danger to the free world. They are no longer a reliable and trusted ally or friend. Europe needs to be involved in peace talks. Trump appointed himself to "lead" the peace talks and has done a terrible job. I would rather have Europe in the lead.
What do you think?🤔
December 8, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Apparently Trump has not been paying attention to the direction his country is headed.
🇺🇸🇪🇺 Trump: Europe has to be very careful. We want to keep Europe. Europe is going in some bad directions. We don't want Europe to change so much.
December 8, 2025 at 10:46 PM
Trump's command of the facts seems as dismal as always. How does he make decisions if he does not have a clear picture of what is happening? The decisions must be as poor as his knowledge of the details.
🇺🇸🇺🇦 Trump: "A lot of people are dying, and I want it to stop... Last month, 27,000 soldiers died—mostly soldiers, a few more because a missile fell in the center of Kyiv or somewhere else, which is a terrible thing, but mostly soldiers.

What we're doing is spending time for humanitarian reasons."

My hope is that Smith and the UCP will face overwhelming opposition to the legislative changes and her other actions. She took an oath when she assumed office. To who was the oath taken? What is the penalty for ignoring the oath? Supporting separatists has what penalty?

Deceptive talk from many Western countries. Words are cheap but authentic action is challenging. It seems a number of European countries are not up to committing to action.
🇺🇸🇪🇺👀 Landau: I knew many of these countries had tied their energy fortunes to Russia, but I had no idea of the extent of it, or how (collectively) it dwarfed their aid to Ukraine.

It's rich when a corrupt American government accuses Ukraine of corruption. Ukraine is trying to shut down corruption while Trump and his team/family encourage it.

Donald Trump Jr. warned on Dec. 7 that his father may walk away from Ukraine, parroting Kremlin propaganda about corruption in Kyiv driving Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.

Not just for Ukraine, but all of Europe.
Yet the Europeans continue to choose relative temporary comfort at the cost of unimaginable death and terror in the foreseeable future instead.
Russia must be defeated and expelled from Ukraine to achieve peace.

America prefers attacking smaller countries or countries with weaker militaries. It gives them a better chance of coming out on top - usually. Like Russia, Americans brag a lot about the strength of their military. Vietnam taught them differently. Ukraine is teaching Russia.

Ukraine continues to fight to defend its people and country. The war continues because Russia initially attacked and now intends to conquer Ukraine. Ukraine has no choice but defend itself and consequently needs funds. Slovakia sounds like it doesn't understand reality. Stupid politicians
Always good to know who stands where.
Slovak President Peter Pellegrini has come out against using EU funds for military aid to Ukraine, claiming it only prolongs the war. In an STVR interview, he urged support for US-Russia talks instead and argued that funds should go toward Ukraine’s post-war recovery, not defense.

If Zelenskyy listens to the Americans then all Ukrainians will lose. If Ukraine wants to be part of the West then it needs to understand European perspectives. Perhaps Zelenskyy can't see the forest for the trees.
🇪🇺🇺🇦 Europe is persuading Zelensky not to agree to withdraw troops from Donbas, — Bloomberg

"Europe's main goal is to avoid a situation in which an exhausted Zelensky would be forced to withdraw troops from the Ukrainian Donbas and agree to a deal without serious American security guarantees."

Only the Americans and Russians speak positively of the war ending. Trump and Putin are so tightly aligned that they see no other perspectives than their own and my hope is that perspective blows up in their faces.

It's sad to see India moving away from Western values and ideals. India is now in the same camp as North Korea, China, Russia, Iran, and the United States.
India is reportedly set to help Russia produce drones that could be used against Ukraine. Moscow is offering tech transfers and battlefield experience in return. A delegation from Russia’s FPV drone center visited India with Putin, signaling deepening defense ties. Modi called Russia a “true friend”

With people like Smith going into politics we need the courts more than ever. These people seek to impose their agenda on all of us. I don't want their baloney and wish that the courts could send them to prison.
This is Smith attacking the courts in their legitimate capacity as a check on the power of politicians.

Make no mistake about it, she hates the courts _BECAUSE_ they hold the power to check her actions as a legislator.

The goal is to tear things up.

Smith: “I’m not a separatist, but here’s me going to bat for the separatists!”

If the courts don’t determine what’s constitutional, who does? My drunk uncle?

Not politicians, that’s for sure. They have insufficient knowledge to decide these things.
