#hobbystreak day 27. Took a break from painting as the sinus pressure is making it hard to focus. Took some time to take apart this 2nd hand ork truck with resin upgrades. It needed a lot of cleanup and a lot of parts will be easier to paint in sub-assemblies. #40k #orks #minipainting

#hobbystreak day 25. Today I'm feeling a little under the weather. It's rainy and that sets off my allergies. I did highlight up the shirt and basecoat the pants but eyestrain and a need to get some proper sleep kept me from making more progress today. #40k #orks #minipainting

#hobbystreak day 22. Got the red on the bike down. Went with a stippled red to get a #grimdark look. Weathering it will be a lot of fun. Also worked on the #ork skin. I'm really enjoying using different recipes instead of using the same one on everything. #40k #minipainting

#hobbystreak day 16 was yesterday and I forgot to post. My #ork basing scheme is super simple. Fine construction sand over a brown basecoat. This time I used cork to make a more dynamic scene and texture paste made it look like stone.

#hobbystreak day 12 and it's back to the Scrapjet. The worst thing about weathering is taking that pretty yellow paint and uglying it up. Those early stages look awful. Fingers crossed it's not totally screwed. #40k #minipainting #orks

#hobbystreak day 10! Yay! Like a milestone or something. Did very little painting. Just worked on the grot gunner today. Never fully assemble a vehicle before painting. Buying second hand helps one see how much it sucks to try to paint detail through a half inch window. #40k #orks #minipainting

Hobby streak day 8. Forgot to post again yesterday. ADHD is a real pain. Got a lot of the metallics basecoated. Liking the AP Ironclad Grey I used as a base for the tracks and may just highlight up from that and make it rubber rather than metallic.

Hobby day 7. Slow but steady progress. Mostly cleaning up the metallic parts to get more even coverage. Still deciding how I want to paint the metallics. Might be time to switch projects to refresh the creative juices.

Stayed up too late and forgot to post my day 6 hobby efforts. Shaded and highlighted the brass and started the basecoat on the gunmetal. still need to get the brightest brass highlights. Really looking forward to weathering. Orks feel too clean without it.

Hobby day #5 and I've got the yellow mostly done. Worked on some of the other areas but have more work to do on the red and brass. Once they're done I'll start on the weathering and damage. I am second guessing the amount of brass as it doesn't really stand out as much as I'd like against the yellow

Super duper short hobby day for #4. Mostly spent experimenting with Sharpie's acrylic markers. The yellow brush tip one is the perfect edge highlight color over Army Painter's Moonbeam Yellow from the John Blanche series. Please excuse the potato quality pictures. Will take better ones tomorrow.

Super duper short hobby day for #4. Mostly spent experimenting with Sharpie's acrylic markers. The yellow brush tip one is the perfect edge highlight color over Army Painter's Moonbeam Yellow from the John Blanche series. Please excuse the potato quality pictures. Will take better ones tomorrow.
