The whole argument just doesn’t matter. Nothing matters in this country. Americans have figured out how to profit off of both sides of domestic interpersonal violence in addition to foreign military conflicts. It’s a meat grinder all the way down.

they’ll never actually do anything that won’t get undone because they have a pretty explicit monetary incentive not to; they have lobbyists making large donations to dozens of politicians both sitting and running, mostly to make the issue a larger part of the national conversation, but not to win.

considering that projectile can punch through nearly half a meter of hardened armor steel on a direct, square hit within 200 meters, but doesn’t open up a tank like a fucking can opener when it penetrates unless the tank explodes due to ammunition or fuel detonation, maybe your assumptions are wrong

The M829A3 APFSDS round can fly right by you and cause no meaningful damage(maybe some hearing loss at most) despite traveling at ~1500 meters per second(past mach 4) and having mass in the 20 pound range. Better comparison?
