This footage from Latakia was supposed to be a show of force, but it 1) signals the Assad regime is only hoping to protect the regime’s heartlands in the coast in that region 2) has the opposite effect of showing poorly armed force who won’t last long

Assad was never but the appendix of a Russian-Iranian attempt to check American influence. When the masters are in dire straits, the servants are the first to foot the bill.
Just two days ago it wasn’t clear if the Aleppo takeover in Syria was reversible.
