Although Trump has the broad power to grant a pardon or commutation to Maxwell, Raskin’s resolution would “put House members on record opposing a pardon for Maxwell, adding pressure to the White House if the chamber votes overwhelming in favor”

16-year-old American Mohammed Ibrahim has been released after over 9 months in an Israeli prison without trial.

I was relieved to hear from his family today and to know that he’s safe and where he belongs — with his family.

A good reminder: When you’re fighting a corporate oligarchy, worker solidarity is the only path to a fair economy.

Over the last year, you could have given into anger and despair.

Instead, you’ve organized in the largest numbers this country has ever seen to reclaim the power of the pro-democracy majority.

We could not be more thankful for you and everything you’re doing to defy Trump’s agenda.

My office is calling upon the federal government to extend TPS to Jamaicans to help keep people safe.

Hurricane Melissa has caused unimaginable damage to our neighbors in Jamaica. Forcing Jamaicans in the US to return home would be dangerous.

This is what TPS was intended for.

1. In a major update, the Trump administration has reversed course publicly, and now says "all passports" will remain valid until they expire for transgender people.

This comes after many outlets reported a message that indicated passports could be revoked.
