Kippy (@kippy.geminai.com) and I spent a last weekend in Aptos, California and stayed really close to The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park, Rio del Mar State Beach, and Seacliff State Beach. Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip.

I had a great run along the Carson River this morning and couldn't resist taking a few photos.

We went back up to the mountains again, but this time earlier and with boats.

We went to Heenan Lake and we got there early enough that we could get be out on the water well before sunrise. It was really cold.

These next four are from the Monitor Pass area.

@kippy.geminai.com and I got up early this morning and went for a drive in the Sierra Nevada with our cameras. Here are some of the images I got.

These first four are from the Hope Valley/Carson Pass area.

The main stage at the Northern Nevada Pride festival in Reno.

It's hot and bright, but I'm having a good time.

A little over a year ago I could not run half a mile and really hadn't run in over 30 years.

This morning I ran 10k (6.21 miles) nonstop. I wasn't very fast (pretty slow, actually), but I did it without walking.

I assisted her in a shoot of a group of women mountain bikers this evening in the Sierra Nevada and got this "behind the scenes" photo.

This morning I completed a Garmin training program and ran a 5k (not an official race, just a course I mapped out in my neighborhood and ran by myself). I wasn't fast, but I ran the entire thing.

On Monday I start a similar training program for a 10k.
Part of a phone screenshot showing a Garmin activity header. In this case it indicates "Jeremy" completed a 5k race 6 hours ago. The distance was 3.11 miles with a time of 38:50 resulting in a 12:30 per mile pace. The last name and location have been clumsily redacted.

A friend and I went for a sunrise hike above Carson City this morning and she spotted a native resident on the other side of the canyon.

Perfect day to hang out in Carson City.

On the day after International Women's Day, I got to go on an otherworldly adventure with 3 amazing women.

Cedar, Ginger, and I went for a walk this morning and stopped along the way to get a photo of one of our neighbors.

I think this is a coopers hawk.
