Excellent summary.
News Analysis: By ordering the U.S. military to summarily kill a group of people aboard what he said was a drug-smuggling boat, President Trump used the military in a way that had no clear legal precedent or basis, according to specialists in the laws of war and executive power.
Trump Claims the Power to Summarily Kill Suspected Drug Smugglers
The move to treat criminals as if they were wartime combatants escalated an administration pattern of using military force for law enforcement tasks at home and abroad.

Deplorable.

There are 800,000 people in poverty in Alabama, 250,000 are children. Do something about that.
“[These] inner-city rats, they live off the federal government. And that’s one reason we’re $37 trillion in debt. And it’s time we find these rats and we send them back home, that are living off the American taxpayers, that are working very hard every week to pay taxes.” www.al.com/politics/202...

I have a kind of fantasy or maybe it is just a wish. I imagine everyone…each of us…taking time on July 4th to read the Declaration of Independence with our friends and family. Read every word out loud. We would be a different country the day after. We need it.
Today, it became abundantly clear that the Trump administration, their militarized thugs, Congressional Republicans, and conservatives on the Supreme Court are governing, better yet ruling, like they’ll hold power forever.

Unless we fight back, they just might succeed.

The greatest tragedy isn't that the person in our highest seat of power lacks a single benevolent impulse, that he is impervious to compassion, incapable of nobility, and mortally allergic to simple kindness.

The greatest tragedy is how many Americans he now represents—and that he represents you.

Gen’l Eisenhower was a man who knew war, and of the cost of war. His words of wisdom:
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."

If you voted for him, I hold you responsible for Iran.
You chose this.
You chose him.
For the third time, you had a chance to reject his vitriol, to condemn his criminality, to prevent his lawlessness, to denounce his bigotry—and you flat-out refused.

Yesterday's parade was a huge waste of money. It was a bad look politically on many levels (it was fascist, it was boring, modest turnout, tepid crowd). It did not achieve its goal of honoring the military. In fact, it was a bad look for the army. Ragtag. Sloppy. Ill-conceived from start to finish.

If every other sign has the word “fuck” on it, they will not be able to televise the area you all are in.
Try to avoid signs about doing violence (no guillotines).

Be strategic.
Do whatever you can to convince people to join us.
We need as many Americans on our side as possible.

Don’t be an idiot.
No Kings Day will be televised.
America will be watching and that is a good thing. It is an opportunity for us to convince fellow Americans to joins us and that we are not rabid lunatics.
Show them good people, people who could be their neighbors and family.
Patriotic people who love this country.
