The strategy was to inflict costs on Russia greater than the costs to us. It’s been a smashing success by that standard. But now what? Are the Russians just supposed to get tired?

What are you thinking trump is planning on doing? Imo, not anything close to the engagement we have in Ukraine.
Crimea is a thorny issue that neither Obama nor Biden wanted to conduct in a manner consistent with their own or your rhetoric. We never supplied Ukr w/the weapons to win.

He has been very reluctant to engage in conflicts. Many times US based commentators have suggested he was going to engage in an expansive wars but he hasn’t. Venezuela doesn’t have the capabilities to engage in a war with us.

Venezuelan is poorly run. Not sure what he has in mind but I’m thinking a pretty limited military engagement. He’s not putting marines on the ground National building stuff.

Isn’t this inherently the status quo political compromise within our system? The president has been given de facto authorization for small squirmishes, because it would be so hard (and politically painful) for elected leaders in congress to pass something on Venezuela.

I think it just shows that electric cars arent the solution. The idea of huge solar farms powering up batteries while we are at work just isn’t a feasible plan. You can’t scale battery production. Musk is a good excuse to dump EV.

Biden/WA consensus on Ukr has been misguided. The ga election fraud case was weak. Trump guilty of the journal entry thing but it should have been a misdemeanor. I didn’t see any evidence produced in the rape case except Carroll saying it happened. 1/6 brings up a lot of freedom of speech questions.

Men aren’t in charge of anywhere close to everything now. But when making babies took up almost all of your adult life, men ended doing all the other stuff. That change started around 1850.

Autism occurs more in men. Seems to be something related to more development issues in the womb can go wrong with male babies.

We've been giving new immigrants a way better deal than what the Hispanics that are now eligible to vote. There may be some bitterness there.

Trump 2.0 is basically hispanics. Hispanics are socially conservative. It's not in their interests to be flooded with new immigrants competing for jobs and resources.

I think law firm profits are going to explode. They will make outsized profits for a good while, but eventually it will go away.

Marx’s idea has consistently been wrong. The wealthy have not been able to hoard all the benefits of progress for themselves. There was no revolution because it wasn’t needed. The places that did Marxist revolutions ended up poorer. He was a great economist, though. Just wrong on the politics.

How do Dems walk back the trans stuff? My church says that transphobia was caused by colonialism and white supremacy. Western colonizers forced a binary understanding of gender onto the native Americans and Africans. Seems crazy to me but open to hear you explain it. Maybe I’m just missing something

What do Dems want to do on political asylum? A lot of coaching was done on how to answer questions. The judges have rejected turning them away at the border. Our prog faith orgs are gearing up to stop deportations. Economic migrants are the ones coming, not political dissidents. It’s open borders.
