Update: Second Saturday Bird Walk. We have received a notification that the trails at the Rocky River Nature Center are icy. The leaders of the walk will assess the trails this morning before the walk and determine a game plan for the event.

Eleven brave birders showed up during a lake effect snow warning for the field trip at West Creek Reservation on January 4, 2025. As we gathered in the parking lot we saw six Common Loons flying overhead... according to eBird this is a new species for the hotspot! We also had a beautiful Merlin.
