Here's how<current event> proves I was right about everything all along, by everyone.
"Look on every exit as being an entrance somewhere else."

Rest in peace Tom Stoppard.

Hi, Spotify here again. We noticed you've used the pathetic number of audiobook hours we give you. Why not give us even more money every month for access?

Another tale of inconvenience Britain. I could just drive next time I suppose but feels unnecessary when there are trains available.
Go to train ticket machine. Select day return. Apparently seat reservations are mandatory on the next available train and it's full so computer says no I can't buy a ticket. I just want to buy a return though. No staff around.

Well they posted them. Headliner on at 9:35. Some of us do have jobs tomorrow and trains to catch you know.

Ah well. Karma for complaining.
Venues and promoters, this is your regular reminder to post the fucking set times.

Yes but what does "open all day" mean? 9 to 5? 12 to 12? Just put 24 hours I beg you.

Hilariously about 5 minutes after this I finally managed to get a ticket for Turnstile tomorrow night. It really does take a lot of watching the page though.
Getting a ticket on @twickets.bsky.social has become pretty much impossible for popular gigs. They're just gone in milliseconds. Even when I happen to be on the page and am pressing buy within literally a couple of seconds of the listing appearing it's already gone.

I want highlighting and selecting specific bits of text to be very awkward and fiddly
So that I can have a right laugh

I want the audiobook listening time indicator to be well hidden and randomly disappear
So that I can find it harder to keep track of the meagre amount of audiobook listening I am allowed

Reading Puffin books slogan, 'Stories that last a lifetime', my daughter jokes "does that mean you die after you read the last page?".

Truly my child.

Dream last night of trying to use apps with various deceptive patterns. Never should have left that job at the bookshop.

Nice conversation. Rewriting the WCAG is also one of my dream jobs.

"I believe life ends with death, and that is all.
You haven't both gone shopping; just the same,
in my new black leather phone book there's your name
and the disconnected number I still call."

As someone curious about the sentencing remarks in some high profile legal cases
I want to have to download a file to read them
So that I don't bother and move on to something else

I want people to upload pictures of my child to AI birthday card greeting tools without asking me

Is there anything worse than trying to deal with HMRC? Just an overcomplicated mess of crap.

For the love of all that is good and holy. Anyone involved in gigs please post the approximate set times promptly.
