The life of a UNIT soldier is varied but never dull.
All minis (except for the dinosaur) digitally sculpted, printed and (unfortunately) painted by me.

It's half term so I've had a few days to crack open an old project and finish it. I started sculpting a UNIT soldier for the Dr Who Miniatures Game a couple of years ago and then lost interest. They printed okay, so I just need to paint them now and get them on Thingiverse with the others.

I decided I needed an Enterprise for my workshop ceiling so I downloaded a rather fab paper model from the webs. I blew it up to 200% (two feet) so then had to retcon the dimensions to design and laser-cut a wooden support frame for it. Quite pleased with how it turned out.

Share your favourite black and white movie.
I was going to choose His Girl Friday with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell but it's probably this masterpiece:

Puts me in mind of the Allied Quad Gun Tractor from the Second World War.

Two and a half complete run-throughs of #Cyberpunk 2077 and I'm planning on starting another one. I bloody love this game.

In Liverpool for a couple of days and did the Magical Mystery Tour (wife and daughter are big fans). Everyone was taking pictures of Paul's house, Strawberry Fields and Penny lane. I took just this one. The site of Games of Liverpool where I mail-ordered my first set of poly dice in 1984.

Penrhyn actually felt very Lovecraftian. Made me want to run Call of Cthulhu or even Regency Cthulhu. There was even an ancient Egyptian sculpture in the dining room over 2700 years old. It writes itself.

We followed it up with a visit to Bryn Celli Ddu neolithic mound, which I've wanted to visit for a long time.

Had a fun day exploring Penrhyn Castle which, we discovered shortly after entering, was built using money from the slave trade. That put a bit of a downer on things but it is an incredible place (and the money goes to the National Trust these days, so we didn't feel too guilty).

Day 2 of 'Activities Week' and it's D&D. Well, it's actually Five Leagues from the Borderlands but using D&D for combat and skill checks.

It's end of term 'Activities Week' in school and I spent the day running Star Wars D6. I was expecting a group of my usual D&D chuckleheads but instead was given my colleague's D&D group. Four girls who despite only having a passing knowledge of Star Wars had an absolute blast.

I love the Ogre Howdah from Mordenkeinen's Tome of Foes so I made one for the school lunchtime D&D group.

I was looking at Ultimate Dungeon Terrain yesterday. I've encountered the concept before but I was thinking of using it in the school D&D club. It uses zones, which I adore but simplifies it into a central melee zone and an outer ranged zone. The trouble is I can't figure out how it works...
