298 full-sized bars gone by 7:30. Now I ate 2, my Dad ate ten or more over the last couple days, and for the first hour parents in costume got bars too until we realized we were going to run out... So our neighbours count of 265 is probably definitive. Actually down a tiny bit from last year's 280.

Why do I bike?

Cathie O'Toole HRM's CAO has announced her retirement.
She is hands down one of the most ethical and competent people I've had the joy of working with —the kind of person who ensures we've excellent public service. The municipality will be a poorer place without her.

I'm at home working on a proposal, and we have skilled tradespeople installing a minisplit. I learned of Trump's latest threat from them: expressing mild disappointment, no real concern, and some disgust & frustration that Trump is at it again. Canadians know the score and won't back down.

I saw 22 bikers in 6 minutes.
