He / They
This art nouveau tile we have looks like a fairy crying and where the tears hit the ground, red berrys spring up and ripen!

What are they crying over? And what's their station that affords them such a green jacket with shoulder pads like those?!

We had a great Tales Held Dear show last night! Here's Tetiana playing evil movie star Big Dipper, literally stars, and I'm a bigshot auteur director. It doesn't go well for us!

Fantasy roleplay improv comedy in Berlin, once a month! Come see us! Or, invite us to your city, we'd love to travel 🤩

Doing into this today - I'll be Cleomenes in The Winters Tale for our December 8 Shakespeariment production in Berlin.

We get a 90-minute version, learn the lines in a month, rehearse once for two hours and then put it on to a packed audience, similar to the original troupe.

Oh my god, here's the fuckin map folks, that's what was supposed to be in the first post!

If you can give €20, I offer a thank you note on a handmade art print postcard of my own design. If 30 people help at this level, I'll meet my goal. Easy!

Here's the designs I'll be using from my archive - a winged fawn or a dapper mantis.

You can contribute here: ko-fi.com/jacoblefton/20

I'd love your support 💝

"Is This A Dad Thing?" is a short documentary about my journey inducing lactation and breastfeeding. We're in the official selection at Aesthetica Film Festival, and I'm traveling with my daughter to York for the premiere.

Please help us get there!

This is a fundraiser and if we raise another like €375 we get @dubhda.bsky.social to write erotic orc fiction. Come on by!

FAQ 1/

Q: Hello? This is the first time I've heard of this WTF

A: Games for an Ordinary Life is a poetic art zine of short, sweet and dangerous minimalist games.

This 36-page collection has 15 games, 5 evocative linocut illustrations and a new system. It's my sketchbook from the 36-Word RPG Jam.
July 3, 2025 at 9:04 AM
It's called More or Less Lost.

Here's a video I made for it during the kickstarter for the zine!

Your idea also reminds me of the game 'Townscaper' where you build just... build a town.

I'd love to jam on this or check out anything you have :)

I know of a couple other kings who were unsatisfied with the natural order asked their magicians to conjure them something new, and that story always goes well, doesn't it.
May 22, 2025 at 10:01 AM
I want to talk to the person whose dumb idea it was to try to render grass through glass in linoleum.
May 20, 2025 at 8:06 PM
Sometimes those notes you make to yourself in the margins of the creative work are really cool 🤩

I mean, it's not everyday you get to write the words "PSYCHIC ATTACK."

Yikes.

One of the many reason I felt drawn away from blacksmithing was that there was a gap between the artistic conversations I wanted to have, the type of work I wanted to do and who could actually afford it.

I love the work I did, but I wish it wasn't just for private homes of rich people.
May 15, 2025 at 12:11 PM
This is such a mediative part of the process for me. Here's two hours of work. You can see the cityscape here is very tight - I actually ought to get a better small v pfeil (cutting knife) for the details, but my resources have been very thin lately.
May 15, 2025 at 10:34 AM
Tried a new linoleum transfer method and I'm happy with the results so far. These blocks are almost ready to carve!

This question, even implied, always bothers me because it creates artificial conditions under which it's impossible succeed.

I saw these two deeply relevant Calvin and Hobbes comics today. Bill Watterson being somehow more relevant 30 years later.

And here's my process - loose sketches and idea generation leads to thumbnails then to working on tracing paper to pin down the details I like.

Here they are if you don't want to go clicking around to my blog. What I like is that they somehow aligned with elemental themes. Here's an earth, an air, a water and a fire.
