What was wrong with with bridged networking anyway? Sure it's slightly more cumbersome and most users don't quite grok it (granted that's a UX nightmare), but I can't say that having a half broken networking stack is actually better.

No. In many respects these young individuals are fodder, there is no way they aren't intended to fail, and fail spectacularly, from the get go.

If I'm honest, I pity them, this is life ruining stuff they are getting setup for, and being set up they are.

This is (and I'm speaking from experience here) repairing a diesel engine, while it's running but fishing your hands up through the tailpipe and welding stuff while it's running so it doesn't stop. I worked on reasonable sized versions, this is akin to the largest ever conceived let alone built.

Yeah I'm in agreement, this is not junior level, even genius level junior individual, tasks. This would, if you wanted anything but a steaming crater, take a team literally years to trace out what they can find and then figure out how to clean up the mess.

This is like trying to page the *ENTIRE*, and I do mean the *ENTIRE* internet into your head and have it make sense, and frankly the internet has more rules / structure than this situation does.

Yeah if the sheer scale / complexity / hidden beauty of the intricate mess that shouldn't exist the way it does doesn't drive an individual who's got days, let along weeks / months / years to vaguely page what's going on, insane - frankly they rolled epicly well on their sanity saves.

Ok popping over here since the bridge may / may not work (aren't these things grand?)

Anyway... *blinks*
