The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.
Reminder that no one worth being around in the military takes shit like "warrior ethos" seriously.

It's the same as stupid corporate shit like "We serve our customers The Target Way!"

Anyone yammering about lethality and warrior ethos is disconnected and just saying things they think sounds cool.
Kelly: He runs around on stage talking about lethality and the warrior ethos.. That’s not the message that should be coming from the Secretary of Defense… He runs around on a stage like he’s a 12 year old playing army. It’s embarrassing.

Oh but you do. That's how fascism operates:

You keep the middle guys fighting and back stabbing each other to curry favor with upper party, and then you don't have any external threats to the inner circle, because the underlings take care of it themselves and don't even realize they're doing it.
multiple congressional investigations have already been announced. do they expect Bradley to throw himself on his sword for Hegseth?

generally before hearings you don't want to encourage everyone to knife one another in the back.
REPORTER: Does the administration deny that that second strike happened, or did it happen and the administration denies that Hegseth gave the order?

LEAVITT: The latter. Secretary Hegseth authorized Admiral Bradley to conduct these kinetic strikes. He worked well within his authority and the law.

Something we will never know: how many artists, film makers, musicians etc were lost to AIDS?

The art world would be unrecognizable if they had lived. Hell, probably the rest of the world, too.
I was diagnosed with #HIV in 1998, when I was 30.
Many of my friends had died of AIDS. I did not expect to live to 50.
I’m 58 now.
HIV treatment works.
Treatment also makes it impossible for me to pass HIV on during sex.
Ensure HIV treatment for all.
End HIV stigma.

Maybe this will ruffle some feathers but I'll be the one to say it: I'm glad Ötzi the Iceman is dead, he deserved it.

That "We Are Charlie Kirk" song is like a rape whistle that goes off by itself.

Disagree...kind of.

What we are witnessing, on a global scale, is a birth of a new culture.

Have you ever seen someone give birth? It's not easy. There's screaming, pain, blood, poop.

And that's what is happening now. We are birthing a new culture, AND BIRTH IS NOT EASY.
Agree or disagree?

Not downplaying this or anything ... but who was going directly to whitehouse.gov for news in the first place?
We’ve had people from the U.S. and abroad asking whether the information on the White House website is even accurate anymore. The site has become unreliable, filled with blatantly false and deliberately misleading content.

At this point in my life the only reason I've never seen The Princess Bride is purely for spite.

Best part about aging is just saying stupid shit and seeing how younger people react.

My nephew asked how I was doing during Thanksgiving and I just said "Well, the dog ain't huntin' but I'm still fed."

I don't even know where that came from, just distilling pure old man knowledge.

First Thanksgiving on Ozempic.

You ever have stomach problems so intense you seriously consider stabbing yourself in the abdomen to let the gas out like a bloated cow?

Jesus this shit is rough.

Thinking about the chick I met at a Buckcherry concert in 2007. In a way she'll always be a 42 year old single mom.

Mainly because she OD'd on laced coke that same night but also like in my heart and stuff.

Do they still do those experiments where they lock someone in a cave for like three months to study solitude's effects on people? Can I volunteer?

I gave AI a chance.

It didn't tell me anything I couldn't use Google for. I used an app to make a few songs just to see what it was like. Fun for a few songs but then it got old. Making pictures is fun but same thing...it gets old.

I don't think I'm alone in this. AI is just ... boring.

My father's greatest fear was dying alone, which he inadvertently fulfilled by alienating all of his children and moving to The Philippines. I say this to say that it's very much like a Greek tragedy.

Anyway this post reminded me of that

Here's the thing about "quiet, piggy:"

1. We always knew Trump was a misogynist.

2. If "Trump hates women" was an effective attack, it probably would have worked against him some time in the last ten years.

It is a distraction, like that stupid "covfefe" shit. Focus on REAL stuff, folks.

This is fucking genius. I love it.
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.
