Fossil day huh? The full fossil is much much larger than this but I want to share my favorite chunk of this xiphactinus tail I’m working on at the lab. This patterning and texture is just so so cool.

Life drawing arctops. I love the hell out of ino and Lycaenops but man this thing rocks. I was just studying the texture of the teeth here, that’s the inside of the mouth and you’re looking at the bottom jaw with a saber fang broken off from the top jaw. #sciart #gorgonopsid

yeah I was told extant species only lol. Also the first time I did it I forgot the wild part and it was gonna be this lol. Also I am now learning golden/strawberry tigers are uhhh sad whoops!

Gonna be rad if I can find the right settings tho, it’s got like chatoyance. The infill pattern is also more visible than I’d like. Eventually I’ll get a multi material printer and stuff like this filament will be rad for accents. I also got glow in the dark hehe.
