Why don’t we talk about pay when we point at the blue collar gap between needs and workers? Strong early earning, but no growth. The “save now, rest later with an old broken body” era is gone. It’s the money!

Every time sycophantic or overly flirty AI hits the news, i am reminded of how easy it is to manipulate people by being nice to them. AI just shows us how reliably mechanical it is.

Summoned for jury duty. Justice is blind but the other drivers really seem annoyed that I’m wearing this blindfold.

The strangest uno reverse of this timeline is apps that rely on people for curation when all the content is coming from AI.

My partner said “I’m really into this porcupine who won’t share his corn”

So, don’t let anyone tell you social media has no value

My partner tells me we elected “permission slips” for our bad behaviors. With that in mind how much #pickleball do you think you’ll play in 2028 @petebuttigieg.bsky.social ?

😇

Give it time. The cockroaches may worship it as evidence that “misguided wealthy individuals inevitably bifurcate society causing an existential collapse” is, in fact, a viable solution to the Fermi Paradox
Show me a worse piece of public art.

#ATL was slammed by college champ traffic before the winter storm hit and I’m flying there today(*). I assume this is what waiting to board the boats to Normandy felt like.

Silently launched opt-out AI-powered features set a terrible precedent.

I actually trust apple’s engineers when they say this is privacy preserving BUT

They still need to ask my permission.

What do you think about innovations "inside" crypto?

For example, liquidity pools -> flash loans -> risk-free arbitrage?

IMO its an example where an equivalent non-crypto product would have to reinvent a lot of the crypt-rails. If it did, then crypto's use case would be discovery/innovation.

I guess tyranny is in the eye of the gun holder.

I don’t like it but what exactly did we expect?

“Blue checks” are a failed institution. Don’t tell me who to trust, give me trustworthy information!

This must be an open system at the DID level. Users need control. I want to see real CPAs in tax season and verified first responders in the next disaster.
6/ We also hear your feedback: users want more ways to verify their identity beyond domain verification. We’re exploring additional options to enhance account verification, and we hope to share more shortly.

Bluesky is Geocities, Hotmail, and Netscape Navigator on top of each other pretending to be a platform.

@bsky.app since this place is getting crowded, can I ask when we get a setting to filter out the the deluge of pandering replies (not on my posts obviously, lol)

Yours in “thoughtful post!” And “great insight”.

Why care about sovereign AI?

AI is dominated by wealthy companies solving problems they prioritize. Sovereign AI offers another path: it is infrastructure for building tech that serves local needs.
