Less mad, more grumpy, and it lowers your chances of repeat coverage by the same people.

Ex: the Hat in Time devs/publisher sent me a separate PR version of the game that never got any updates and isn’t DLC compatible, so it took years before I covered it again. I’m still a bit peeved about it tbh.

And yeah, we could all buy every game instead. But that would cost roughly $50-300 per category, times 10-15 categories?

At that point I’d likely bow out or just vote for what I already own, as would most of the other jurors. We just don’t have the budget for that kind of entry fee.

So if you’re a nominee for a major awards show, make sure there’s enough keys available for everyone on the jury! Because giving only a fraction of what’s necessary will cap your potential vote count just as much and hand someone else the win.

I know folks always get nervous about sharing that many keys around, especially with unvetted strangers- but if the event & organizers are reputable the chances of anyone immediately shunting those codes to the grey market is incredibly low.

We’d nuke our careers if we did that and got caught.

As a staunch early voter: the only thing better is Oregon's mail-in system where they send you your ballot + a big dossier on every candidate & measure being passed.

And even then, early voting is so nice. It takes like 5 minutes since there's almost no one there to stand behind in line!

Its so good. Fleeing for the exit was stressful chaos in the base game. This one adds eldritch entities that chase you during your escape.

Its always night in the DLC too, which only adds to the tension.

Oh yeah, the difficulty options go very hard in such a good way. There's a Yahtzee mode, where you roll extra dice whenever you roll a 4-of-a-kind, which can also chain into multiple Yahtzees if you have a lot of dice.

You can also give yourself like, 5 extra dice to start with. It's good busted.

Did you turn on the Yahtzee difficulty setting?

It gets absolutely nuts with tons of dice.

Yup! I'm technically a professionally trained illustrator, but for the most part I only draw YouTube & TTRPG assets nowadays.

While it isn’t a videogame, there’s an upcoming PSO-homage TTRPG that’s trying to do something similar.

Their last game Beacon was pretty good, so I’m hoping this will be too.

Progress is happening on Photon System Overdrive (PSO), my Roguelike TTRPG inspired by Phantasy Star Online! Act 1 + 2 are done, artists are working on art for the Kickstarter, and I'm plugging away at the online character sheet!
My goal is to have a demo/Episode 0 available for the Kickstarter.

Seriously deserved. Freshest roguelike I've played in a while.
