I haven’t read that one yet. I’m still a young kid septuagenarian.

I can imagine hearing him read it in the voice he used on the Daily Show. Must have been great.

Keep it up. Keep score, and let us know from time to time how many you've slain.

Asimov started writing well before I was born, but I was able to read some of his books when I was a high school student. I've read his work on and off over the years -- his ability to describe human behavior and his contual belief that humanity always needs to strive to succeed defined his work.

Either he or his twin sister was the young woman who did the same to me. They have spawned all over this website. I’ve blocked so many of them. All are beautiful and don’t take no for an answer. Sorry, but men get this too - they love us sight unseen!

It’s a plague.

Superheroes are no more science fiction than dragons and magic spells. They’re really popular, but they hold little magic for us hard core science fiction fans.

Great choices. I’ve read these and loved them. I’m sure you’ll do them justice

Take a look at Kidder’s Strength in what Remains “ - it tells this story from the point of view of a Burundian.

The books go out about 20,000 years. But I read them all in less than one!

It’s a great book but it’s one of series of books and is much better to read after the first two. Here’s a brief list in order in universe:

Split them up -- divorce! Many of us Science Fiction lovers can't read Fantasy at all, so it makes the experience far worse for us to keep them together. I appreciate why the started together - it was a marriage of convenience, not true love. 😜

I recently watched a segment in a series called "The Secret Lives of Animals" that showed the peculiar talents of the beautiful Orchid Mantis.

I love these birds. They have long established patterns of flight where they go to the same places over and over. With all the human suffering, he’s a reminder that many other creatures have had lives upended by the fires.

My Asian wife and I (American) watched this show in Italian (with subtitles) and we both found it amazing. The acting is so good it transcends language and cultural differences.

The story is so good, we're going to read the books.

It's been my experience that the people I've wanted to follow on Substack release far far less than 95% without a subscription. Sorry I reacted based on my experience and not on what you, individually, do. Glad I'll be able to subscribe to you. Thanks for setting me straight (well you know).

Independent thinkers who publish on Substack ultimately lead to meaningful writing being siloed. Ordinary peope can only afford a small number of subscriptions. This means that intellectual journalism dies.
