Hegseth has said that he was monitoring the operation live. If the admiral had ordered the second strike, Hegseth could have countered the order if he disagreed. Hegseth is obsessed with "lethality." (His word.) I think the culprit is Hegseth, who sees himself as a warlord.

I agree 100%, but you can bet Trump doesn't give a damn. As a veteran and military retiree, I will never forget or forgive his comment about those killed in action being suckers and losers.

ICE must be defunded, abolished, and anyone connected in any way with the gross inhumanity od abducting people should be arrested by local authorities and incarcerated. That includes Stephen Miller, Homan, and Noem.
