why do grown adults need to be told it’s rude and dismissive to say someone else’s job shouldn’t exist? like no one would say this about their own job, or accept it said about their own job. especially facing a possible recession! but you’ll say it about uber and lyft drivers so easily?
it's very easy to say that "jobs shouldn't be the end all" when it's not your job on the line, though, isn't it? like i have never heard someone whose job is actually threatened by new technology dismissively say "jobs aren't everything."

Do you support ICE kidnapping our residents here in Minneapolis? All I’ve seen you do is vote for the Laken Riley Act and strip away due process from immigrants.

You didn’t stick up for Minnesotans. In fact, your vote is impacting our Somali and immigrant communities heavily.
I’ve got news for you, Mr. President: in Minnesota, we stick up for our neighbors. And our Somali community isn’t going anywhere.

Your dangerous attacks on immigrants in my state and across the country are putting lives and families at risk.

These are good moments to remember that the CEOs of all the biggest companies in America are happy to go to White House dinners and slap this guy’s back. They do not care about this. Remember this, years from now, when they want you to forget.
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol made $95 million last year. His workers are striking for the bare minimum. Glad to be on the right side of the picket line with them.

TRUMP [after spending 5 minutes with Zohran]: surplus value, it’s a very wonderful thing, very wonderful, and they’re stealing it. Can you believe that?

We’re going to be looking very strongly at the bourgeoisie, what they’re up to

Thomas Paine was highlighted in last night's episode of The American Revolution by Ken Burns, which reminded me of this very good article about him:

Reading Paine From the Left
Though embraced by the likes of Glenn Beck, Thomas Paine was the American Revolution's most radical figure.

For my part, I'll be looking to get more involved with TCDSA moving forward. Outside of maybe some of our unions, I don't know that we have a stronger base-building organization right now?

I'm also hoping to organize an Aurin-aligned volunteer/social group here in Ward 12 to help keep us engaged.

Michael is a friend that I met through DSA. A year ago he told me he was considering a run for Park Board and asked for my thoughts. I encouraged him and have been in awe since he launched. No one in the race worked as hard as he did. I am proud of him and his team for running a visionary campaign.
I am so proud of the work we have done on the campaign trail, and incredibly grateful for all the relationships we built along the way. Together, we set a new standard for park board campaigns and political campaigning city-wide.

What I love most about Jason Chavez’ campaign is how they worked—and succeeded!—at increasing turnout.

They also spent resources on not just election literature, but on ensuring residents are armed w/info to protect ourselves and our neighbors in this terrifying era. One example of campaign lit:

I’m sad to deliver the news that we unfortunately did not win our campaign for re-election. I have called the new Council Member-elect and wished her well. My term will be ending at the end of December this year, and I plan to use the next two months to do as much as I can for Ward 7 residents.

Growing up in Bachmann's (now Emmer's) district made me a leftist. The disdain MAGA MN leaders have for the working class would radicalize any decent person who believes in basic human rights.
Emmer: "Pro-terrorist, Marxist radicals are now the left's mainstream."
