It only took me 2 years, but I listened to my own advice. By replacing less than 10 lines of code

Stop shuffling with .sort(() => Math.random() — 0.5))
Searching online for shuffling an array in JS you will find multiple solutions. I wanted to compare three of them for fairness and speed.
