Kinda rehashy, blatant cold war propaganda, Apollo's death isn't handled as well as Mic's and the robot and doesn't belong in these movies. The Hearts on Fire sequence does really carry it, almost makes up for the loss of groundedness from the earlier movies.

Dumb fun but it not really being that character focused holds it back for me. Like K's retirement and J's succession doesn't hit hard since because there simply weren't enough dynamic interactions between them to make me care that much.

I didn't appreciate the first two films enough. Clearly tries to do its own thing and has some good jokes but is just too cartoonishly goofy and PG for my tastes. Ash also completely ditches his chainsaw early on which, while practical, is pretty lame ngl

A version of this film that introduces Pamela way earlier and set her up as a twist villain would've held up better cause she's by far the best character here. Respectable that people got killed early but without any reactions it left little impact.
