Hey Alexandra! Welcome to the ham radio hobby! Consider taking the General exam at the same time as the tech exam. It opens the door to a lot more frequencies. My wife and I enjoy Parks on the Air. There's lots of radio operators on this platform. We'd be happy to help any way we can. Good luck!
