Chatting with a store clerk today, I mentioned attending last night's rally with a friend. She pulled these delightful stickers out from under the counter.

In case you were noticing how super aggressive folks gathering signatures have been... it's aggressive by design. $8 per signature.

Lobbying didn't work, now they're trying to buy their own law.

We have selected the Bonaventure

Here we go again. Bass has announced she plans to extend until at least Saturday. I can't imagine most of the businesses in the 7.73 sq mi are pleased.

Metro Los Angeles used an interactive tool to ask riders for feedback on the agency budget.

and we said Fuck the Police.

Law enforcement was the single largest decrease at 17%, Homelessness and Mental Health Outreach the single largest increase at 17%.

So more parking at San Diego Airport -- one of the USA airports closest to, really in, a city center. Yikes. But 284 bike parking spaces?! By comparison the new LAX/Metro center has 50 secure spaces.

Saw this gem last night. Like are those his plate numbers on the license plate frame???

Japan has really set the bar with 30% mode split for rail. Visiting speakers from Japan are clearly showing what we have to gain as a state if we can match these mode splits for rail.

Thoroughly enjoying the Rail Decarbonization Forum this morning. Living downtown is great, walking to a conference is the best commute.

And (2) the PRICES. Of course there's some really high end expensive items -- but for basics like black pepper and apple cider vinegar the prices were much cheaper than buying the equivalent at any other store I regularly shop at.

16oz vinegar $4 vs 16oz Braggs elsewhere ~$9

Look mom, no plastic!

How should cities balance the old and new in transportation tech? @davidzipper.bsky.social says this is the wrong question, instead cities should be asking and defining the problems we need to solve.

Nothing quite like a good RFP deadline to make my holiday exciting. At least it's the external keyboard.

Milking every last minute of the fare- deferred LADOT DASH buses. I love these low friction downtown routes as I am able constantly drag new riders onboard. That's going to be a lot harder to do next year.

tbh don't remember what the drink was but still tickled pink thinking about the holiday stegosaurus mug at a popup in Sacramento last week.

No handles you scooped him up with both hands to sip.

What even @ladotofficial.bsky.social do we have going on here?

This evening's plans.

Took 40 minutes for a call back from LADOT Parking since there were 32 callers ahead of me but the cars were still parked there.

So satisfying. Like seven, eight violations at one intersection.
