i honestly don't know much about the specifics of what this guy said and it could not matter less. the government does not have the right to do this to him. this has to be opposed vigorously. ignore anyone who tries to loop you into a discussion of the ethics of statement this guy made. immaterial.
Those who know me know I was highly critical of what I saw as some of the rhetorical excesses of the campus protests. Khalil and I wld probably get into a spat immediately. It's all the more important for people who believe as I do to say clearly, the protections of the law are for everyone.

You cannot stand for students and not call for the release of Mahmoud Khalil. The silence from Democrats on this specific issue is deafening. I will not forget who did not speak out. I will remember who was too cowardly to stand against the influence of the Israeli government and Donald Trump.

Today, OUYDSA hosted another successful community town hall relating to our effort to make Athens a sanctuary city for trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming folks. We thank all those who attended the meeting today. Keep your eyes peeled for future meetings! 🏳️⚧️💚✊
