Just finished my first run of Elden Ring! My first souls-like. Being completely insane, I decided to do so with only torches and the jellyfish minion... which worked shockingly well.

Ran my TTRPG buddies through an absolutely hellish grinder of an undead city recently. Full knowledge of what they'd be facing, plenty of time to gear up, allowed to retreat as needed... and every encounter was still nail-biting and terrifying. Really proud of how it turned out.

Recently read The Wager, about a shipwreck in the 1700's, and now I'm debating running a D&D game where the party gets press-ganged into serving aboard a ship on an extended voyage. Follow the captain and the promise of riches, or foment mutiny? Backbreaking labor, poor nutrition, the works.

I've noticed a trend in my FFXIV crafting. "Oh that's a new material, what can I make with it? ...that's nice, what if I gathered the materials to make SIX of them... Well now I have extra of THIS material. What else can I make with it? ...THAT'S nice too..."

I think the thing I miss most about the SNES/PS1 days was the fact that the world wasn't on fire.

It's strange, but with shows like The X-Files and Fringe I always like the monster-of-the-week style episodes the most. I often wish there was a show that just dealt with a group like that doing their normal job without a grand overarching plot that results in major changes to the formula.
