Agreed, some better optimizarion or like some visual enhancements to the existhing thing would be very great! SO2 basically remade the game from scratch but kept it very close to original just minus a lot of the lag.

I think it was cute personally speaking! I played it too, KH can still get away with it imo cos newer disney and pixar worlds were involved. But for 9 I feel like if they update it but without a good reason to do so I think the vast world would look very jarring because of the visual clutter

Yes that for me is like the best type of in between for remasters for that type of style! But it sounded like they were going for something more (cos they had one already) and I don't want 9 to be scapegoated for SE's poor financial decisions with it lol

Yep this too, it's supposed to be a very classic form of the older final fantasy and updating it for a modern look and feel just wouldn't be 9 anymore for me. I wish I wasn't so skeptical but their push for FF being more and more out of the box doesn't give me reassurance :/
