Using 3D-SIM imaging, we observed that active SPI-1 chromatin relocates closer to the nucleoid periphery, suggesting that SPI-1 activation involves chromatin remodeling and spatial repositioning

When SPI-1 is activated, H-NS occupancy is remodeled, creating a new chromatin landscape that, together with HilD, facilitates transcription and the formation of Transcription-Induced Domains (TIDs).
