I have a bunch of domains and it's hard to set up/route email for them. I don't want/need full google workspaces for all of them and a lot of the other services I've tried are overly complicated

I've been using mailwip.com for years now and I constantly find it to have all the features I need

Very excited to submit the Tuscolo Certificate Transparency logs for inclusion today! 🧾🪵☀️

These logs are Sunlight-based, and operated by Geomys and Port 179 LTD on bare metal. They cost 50 times less than RFC 6962 logs in the cloud.

The age file header is sent to the client, which decrypts it using typage's new passkey support (github.com/FiloSottile/...) and sends back the file key. The server decrypts the password with it and mounts the dataset.

I can use it from my phone via iCloud Keychain, or could use YubiKeys, too!

Today is the day! After a decade of working on Sentry it's time for me to move on to new adventures. It's been a wild ride, and I'm taking a lot with me from this experience.

My talk from RustConf is up! I talk about the history and current state of computer-aided design, why we're building a new programming language for 3D modeling, and the lessons I learned along the way.

A friend got her (Android) phone stolen and the thieves were able to quickly pivot into her Google account and then bank.

I’ve been wondering how they did that and my best guess is SMS password resets (aka SMS 1FA).

So yeah, SIM PINs (or eSIMs) might help. Also no text body on lock screens.
Upgraded one of my phones to iOS 18.1 and was puzzled because I found it several times rebooted and SIM-locked (yes, I have PINs on my SIMs). I thought it was a bug but…

turns out there is a new inactivity reboot!¹

Brilliant analysis, "must read"™!

I’m facing FIPS 140 due to a sequence of choices that each made sense in isolation.

If I’m doing this, though, I’m doing it my way. Currently reading the Implementation Guidance rules cover to cover.

Soon I’ll need to find some ISO standards that fell off a truck.

In 2022, I left Google in search of a sustainable approach to open source maintenance. A year later, I was a full-time independent maintainer.

Today I’m announcing the natural progression of that experiment: Geomys, a small firm of professional maintainers with a portfolio of critical Go projects.
