I do tend to assume things were done in error/ignorance unless it's a repeated offense. Not everyone is interacting with the communities they're making things for, after all.

Perhaps I'm giving too much credit/leeway, but I've seen this a lot from newbies in both the crochet and 3d print/sculpting community. Sometimes people just don't know the etiquette, esp if they're not making money from something. Has anyone tried to contact this person?

While the artist should be credited, I know a lot of people aren't in the up and up on proper crediting. It's their first clothing mod, and likely didn't mean to imply they did everything themselves completely from scratch, but didn't know they should credit if they're using something they purchased
