The live images allow students to see the astronaut in real time while asking their questions - a great example of how radio, space, and education come together to inspire the next generation! 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

Alongside amateur radio operators and Goonhilly Earth Station, we provided our feed into a merger system, helping extend video coverage as the ISS passed over Europe.

The live video signal was transmitted via S-band and received by several ground stations across Europe, including ours, as part of a network coordinated by ARISS.

P.S. Did you know our GS are perfectly located for supporting SpaceX rideshare missions to SSO? We have several high elevation passes over our tracking stations on the early orbits, allowing us to quickly acquire, track and receive your S/C after launch!

A nice bonus was that some of the just deployed payloads as well as the Falcon 9 were also visible by the naked eye on Orbit 2 as it passed overhead in Delft, The Netherlands. The cloud in the image is fuel/exhaust. Some RCS thruster action was also visible. 🔭 🚀
