While they don't know their respective morale levels precisely, both side in our attack on Cardonville scenario for "I Ain't Been Shot Mum" must surely know that they're near the end of the thread. Next week should decide matters in this embiggening of "29, Let's Go". @armchairdragoons.bsky.social

Our "Beginner's Luck" scenario for "A Fistful of TOWS 3" is in its later stages and has come to cases. We've had nasty tank duels, an heroic American charge onto fixed German positions, and even a successful tank close assault. What's not to like? @armchairdragoons.bsky.social

We knew the British were bringing home the win at Trafalgar for "Fire As She Bears", but the Combined Fleet took a real run at them, sinking the Victory and the Royal Sovereign, and keeping their victory just a bit less than the great Nelson. Next year! @armchairdragoons.bsky.social

The Germans are up a bit on points in our early East Front scenario for "A Fistful of TOWS 3", but learning the limitations of early war platforms has left both sides hurling insults and rocks at each other as frequently as shells. More next week.

The Americans attacking Cardonville were dodging casualties in numbers well outside probability, but a lone sniper left Capt. Achilles to be carried from the battlefield and his company withdrew. They'll be back, if only because "29, Let's Go!" says so.

Watching the maneuver that opened tonight's game of "A Fistful of TOWS 3" was a great deal of fun as the not-so-very-powerful Germans and Soviets matched up in June '41. One nasty set of melees in some trees, though. More next week. @armchairdragoons.bsky.social

I've come to like "A Fistful of TOWS3" but it does require a lot of bases. A lot. This introductory scenario, "A Roaring Start" borrowed from "Spearhead", requires 178. Ask me how I know. Wednesday.

One of the better decisions I've made as an umpire was adding Force Morale to our "I Ain't Been Shot Mum" games as suggested in a supplement. The Germans are holding on grimly as the Americans pound Cardonville, but neither side knows just how much rope they've got left. @toofatlardies.bsky.social
