Sadly, Jeannot Szwarc, director of Jaws 2, has passed away at the age of 85... he was only the second director I worked for when I was the tender age of 22... to say it was a difficult set to work on is an understatement - the Gulf of Mexico... memories that I will always cherish... R.I.P. Jeannot ♥️

THROUGHOUT L.A. - yesterday, it smelled like smoke, like wood burning - today, it smells toxic, like plastic burning... way different and much more lethal - it is a sickening smell that I am sure will be damaging to anyone with any kind of respiratory problems... PLEASE be careful if you are outside

It used to be very political as to who received screen credit on a movie - on Jaws 2 we had more than 50 SPFX and only two people got credit... thankfully that changed in the early 80's and I received my first credit on John Carpenter's The Thing - here's a conceptual drawing of the kennel sequence

Back in 1977, I had the privilege of working on the SPFX crew of Jaws 2 - seven months on location in Navarre Beach, FL at a luxury Holiday Inn where the production crew was based... I took this shot from the deck of the ship next to the camera crane lowering the cameraman in the water - cheers!
