With the notable exception of the Interludes, I'm having real trouble getting invested in the Archon quests. The story quests, though... let's just say I was 97% complete on Chasm before I ever set foot in Sumeru (and I speak Arabic! I loved Sumeru!)

They are not. There's a lot of reasons for this culturally, and the sun is in fact a deadly laser so those reasons are technically stupid, but culture can be stupid and still be culture.

I just want crafting to be meaningful in an MMO in a way that rewards mastery. Make people have to git gud if they want to make money. The power fantasy I want is becoming a renowned artisan, sought out the world over for my unique skills.
