Spoken like a man who doesn't know how to mew
My male role models were my grandfathers and uncles. WW2 and Vietnam vets. Small business owners. Blue collar workers. A cop.

All of the “manosphere” stuff I hear is just so odd. Like, every man I grew up around — inarguably macho guys — would just call these people creeps, not “manly.”

To me one of the few Actually Exceptional qualities of USA is how much good so many have done in spite of my belief that just like with AI, crypto & microbetting today, this country exist entirely on the backdrop of snake oil & greased palms.

People still did *some good* within those constraints.
Grifting HARD, like, nose to the grindstone, in the face of insurmountable evidence that you’re a fraud, but just fucking plugging away isn’t uniquely American but it still feels so American coded.

That’s why we always end up with two more people like George Santos every time we get rid of one.

Man who spent his four years in power effectively dead: Y'all need to get up and fight!
Biden: So, folks, that's my message to all of us today, to all who love our country, to all of us are dismayed by the present state of the union: it's time to get up, get up and fight back. Get up. Continue to fight. What's the fight all about? Protecting the constitution.

Perhaps some of the harshest language al Sharaa has had for the United States and for Israel since assuming the formalities of the Syrian presidency. Calls them outright to be terroristic towards the Arab and Muslim people of the region and to the east.
CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa where his “real allegiances” lie, given his “past of being a terrorist.”

Al-Sharaa, a fmr. senior figure in al-Qaeda’s Iraq network who later founded its Syrian arm in 2011, said that if a terrorist is “one who kills innocent...

Resist accounts stop sharing clear AI slop claiming it’s real challenge failed again

More ai slop gets posted by resist on this app than maga and it’s clearly in an attempted to propagandize people.

The video this is from is clearly ai.

Sometimes I view the surprise or shock at how bad Trump and Republicans are or how supportive white voters are as a symptom of this ignorance. Very recently—in living memory—it was normal to publicly suggest that Black people were incapable of independent thought or self-government.
Something that I don’t think people realize is how bonkers racist society was for a long time. Like it is racist now but it was *SO RACIST* that it is hard to describe it without sounding unhinged

It's horrific watching this play out, in exactly the same step by step way the trans community has been warning about for so many years now.
We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

I wrote Between Two Rivers to share something I love in a way that anyone — whatever their work, prior knowledge, or exhaustion levels — could enjoy.

So many writers have done this for me on topics I’d never have time for a deep dive on (trees, the ocean, eels), and I wanted to do this for others❣️

Bracing analysis of the rise of the far-right in Germany: "there are widespread right-wing extremist networks within the security services, the police, and the armed forces. Europe-wide networks of fascists are operating unhindered. Something is brewing. If we don't react now, it will be too late."
