Yes, the E in EMPATHI would be a deal breaker right from the start.

Not sure how long the strategy of concealing equity in structured population phrasing and replacing covid with influenza is going to work, but it seems that is what NSF and NIH now wants us to do 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is the second time the Austrian Journal of Statistics has done something like this to support Ukraine. Back in 2023 the journal ran the special issue "Recent Trends in Probability and Statistics in Ukraine":

The dates really confused me. I look at the calendar --- it is 2025. I look at the flyer --- @kenriceken.bsky.social is talking about his 2017 paper. I google the paper --- JRSSA website site says the paper was published in 2018 😅
