Finished Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V. E. Schwab, 4⭐, three sapphic vamps whose lives are tangled. And Chain-Gang All Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, 5⭐, sapphic galdiators fighting their way through prison death matches. Both were good but Chain-Gang hit it out of the park!

My November reading wishlist. Not as ambitious as some months but I tend to add some more books in here and there. Like I also want to add Braiding Sweetgrass, Blood Moon, A Two Spirit Journey, and We Will be Jaguars.

What are you guys hoping to read this month?

Easily my favorite book of the year, a 5 ⭐ read for me. The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer talks about reciprocity in a consumer world. I highly recommend this short read.

No March recap this time. I got pretty burnt out this month so the only book I finished was Sanditon by Jane Austen for my class. I kept my reading streak minimal, 1-10 pages a day. Still, I think that's okay, reading isn't linear or perfect, neither am I.

What's a book you wish had a sequel?

Mine's Influenza: Viral Virulence by Steven C. Ohliger, it came out and I read it a few years before Covid. I liked it when it came out, have hoped for a sequel ever since.

Well I had a really good excuse for my absence yesterday, my partner and I took a trip to The Last Bookstore in LA and he proposed under the arch of books! Of course I said yes and we went and got some books to celebrate!
