I wasn’t going to mention it… but he didn’t so much scrap it as increase it.
Hahaha. Starmer scraps the never-existed "50 per cent of kids will go to uni" target and announces a 70 per cent target of "higher education or a gold standard apprenticeship". A mix of academic and vocational that basically what was actually in the OG Blair target!

The report found the UK has one of the highest completion rates and lowest student dropout rates across the OECD.

80% of students complete their degree in the UK compared to 59% on average across the OECD⬇️
