Instead of writing I painted Allegra.

How was she going to get rid of the body? Bury it? She’d very boldly told Elian they could hide bodies in the lake, but she wanted to swim in the lake. And she didn’t think she could comfortably float on an inner tube in a Dior one-piece when she knew some gross, naked stranger’s body was rotting below her.

“Ms. Neri,” said Ferarra, scooting his chair closer to the couch. “You’ve seen shows. It’s usually the boyfriend.” “This isn’t an episode of Law & Order,” Allegra snapped, all tension back again. “It’s Game of Thrones. It’s True Blood. This could even be a political thriller. My parents sat on the Consortium. If anyone hired them, it was vampires. And what about hunters. Why aren’t you looking at hunters? Killing vampires is their whole thing.” “We’re exploring all leads,” said Ferrara. “This is just playing it safe, Ms. Neri.” “You’re not looking at other vampires, are you? It’s easiest for you if Elian did it and you don’t have to bother any powerful families. I’m right, aren’t I?” “No,” said Borge, “We’re totally looking at other vampires.” This didn’t sound convincing to Allegra, either, and Landen was worried she was going to jump this guy. “Then I’ll just have to find out who did this myself,” she said darkly. Her dramatic rise from the couch was hampered by her juggling a wolf the same size as her and Ferrara and Watts trying to help her get Landen situated in his sling. A lot of “watch her foot” and “you’re doing it backwards” and “what are you doing with her tail, leave the tail alone.” Around this, Borge was trying to say that she couldn’t do that, it was illegal, and they wouldn’t be able to use anything she found in court. Allegra said she didn’t care about the courts, they’d probably never convict the real target anyway. Watts pointed out that Borge was, again, confusing vampire law with what he’d seen on television. There was no vampire law on the vampire books against investigating a case your vampireself. Allegra laughed very loudly and weirdly at this as she double-checked Landen was secure on her hip. The other three were baffled by her laugh and went silent, exchanging glances. Landen didn’t get it either.

✨Landen✨ a werewolf, is happy to help her find her parents' killer, doesn't even mind the dog stroller. Everyone trying to kill them is much more worrying.
