How well do gambling help services meet the expectations of those who seek support?

Algorithm-based duty of care models have potential, but they cannot reliably prevent or detect gambling harms due to lack of standars, openness and regulatory oversight.

Our new publication focuses on changes in gambling consumption during economic downturns (such as the cost of living crisis) in the Nordics 🙂
How do macroeconomic changes affect gambling consumption? This new research examined the relationship between household disposable income and gambling revenue in the Nordics. This is our new paper on gambling taxation and its effects (or lack thereof!) on channelling policy.

New publication! Using data from 29 European countries, this study suggests that contrary to previous beliefs, lower gambling taxation doesn't correlate with higher channeling rates. The article also notes significant differences between European countries in gambling taxation. tinyurl.com/4bnrb2a3
