The thing with climate change is that it doesn't pause for war, genocide, or billionaire coups. It just marches on relentlessly and irreversibly as long as we don't manage to sharply reduce global emissions. So we'll have to keep our eye on that ball too, while dealing with the other issues.

January 2025 was 1.75°C above the pre-industrial level and was the 18th month in the last nineteen at more than 1.5°C above pre-industrial level.
