"Frannie is making a name for herself
dancing till dawn in a bar.
Mother just stares at the wallpaper walls,
safely contained in her jar."
- 'Geography', by Bob McAfee

The meter here is perfect. When so much rhyming poetry feels contrived, 'Geography' is a spectacular example of rhymes done well!

Wild Life: This is such a wonderful short story. It made us laugh out loud, and more than once at that. David Partington has a gift for comedy!

"Once upon a time there was a young hammersmith named Jim Bob who got a sudden hankering for a goat." - The Tale of Jim Bob and Albert, or the Virtues of the Marketplace, by Wolfgang Wright

This little story is brevity at its best. Simple, wonderfully written, and ridiculously funny!

'What's the worst that could happen if doing 45 mph down West 220th Street & you turned the wheel over to your dog?' - Let the Dog Drive, by Bob King

Peel back the layers of meaning in Bob King's poem and sit with it for a while. You won't regret it.
